The Farthest (2017) on IMDb

Forty years ago, two twin NASA spacecraft launched from Earth to explore the outer solar system. The Voyager Spacecraft completed not only the Grand Tour of the outer solar system, revealing the incomparable beauty and wonder of the giant planets Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune, but in 2012 Voyager 1 passed into a realm of space where nothing of human making has ever journeyed before! Humanity became an interstellar species when Voyager 1 began traveling between the stars!

The feature length documentary THE FARTHEST, written and directed by Emer Reynolds, tells the story of this most audacious mission of our time, through the eyes of the scientists who accomplished it! The movie premiered at Tribeca in New York just earlier this year, additionally followed by screenings at many other renowned film festivals around the world. This one time event at Victor Valley College will bring not only the movie to the public, the students of this region and their families, but Emer Reynolds herself will be present to answer audience questions after the screening.

By the reviews, THE FARTHEST may be the most highly acclaimed documentary of the year!
